Why Use 3M G5-01 Welding filters?

Human eyes aren’t designed for handling rapid transitions from dark to light to dark again – which describes tack welding perfectly! The G5-01 welding filter features 3M Natural Colour Technology which makes the lens view seem lighter, more detailed and colourful, while still providing the highest levels of protection.

There are two options from the 3M Speedglas Auto Darkening Filter Series G5-01 – both offering the popular 3M Speedglas Natural Colour Technology. Both G5-01 filters are also designed to minimize eye strain when switching from dark state to light state, by using an intermediate shade (5 or 7 depending on filter model).

The Natural Colour technology used in the G5-01TW welding filters use an intermediate shade 5 light state to help minimize eye strain during extended tack welding applications. If an arc is not struck within 2 seconds the welding filter will switch back to its normal light state (shade 3).

3M Speedglas welding filter G5-01VC has the option of choosing a colour tone to best suit the environment. To provide even better view and control of your weld puddle 3M Speedglas Variable Colour Technology is now available. You choose between natural (A), cool (B) or warm (C) tones dependent on which colour tone provides the best viewing contrast for your welds, and the most comfort for your eyes.
