Description
2033332 3M Scott Safety Tornado Non-Ex Powered Air Respirator
With a wide range of headtops and filters, Tornado Non-Ex provides one of the most versatile respiratory solutions available. The T-Power blower unit provides filtered air for the widest range of industrial applications as diverse as industrial welding, agriculture and waste disposal.
The T-Power features a safe electronic airflow management system to maximise wearer safety and optimise battery life. Along with a wide choice of headtops and facepieces to cover virtually every application. The unit compensates airflow so that a minimum 140l/min for open headtops and 120l/min for facemasks is maintained.
Suitable headtops include FH-51 3M Hood with Inner Helmet, FF-302 3M Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator (Scott Promask 5512681) and FF-603 3M Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator (Scott Vision 2016446 RFF4000).
Optimised airflow monitoring with 15 power levels to compensate for filter clogging and extend battery life, the battery also locks to prevent accidental disconnection. Battery is available to purchase separately here and charger here. The modular filter adaptors allow for the use of single, twin or triple filters with the same blower system.

Did you know?
- According to HSE Guidance (HSG53), all users of negative pressure tight-fitting masks should take a break at least every hour to reduce the risk of wearer fatigue. Wearing powered air respirators removes this need and so employees can work continuously, more comfortably for longer durations.
- Employees who have a beard or facial hair are not suitable to use tight-fitting negative pressure respirators, therefore the recommended alternative is Powered Air respiratory systems. Powered Air Respirators, when worn with loose-fitting head tops, are a convenient alternative solution, allowing users to retain facial hair and have a high level of protection against hazards.
- Powered Air Respirators are cooler. Heat levels within a powered air respirator head top are lower than using negative pressure as breath exhalation can cause heat build-up within the mask. Powered air respirators are fan assisted, providing a cooling effect for wearers.
