How To Service Your Powered Air Respirator (PAPR)

It is advised that PAPR’s receive regular servicing, and for some models an annual service is a requirement. To ensure safe and efficient use we recommend having your PAPR unit serviced annually and provide this service within our head office service centre. Our qualified, experienced and accredited technicians have the expertise to ensure your unit is operating at its best and continuing to keep you safe.
For guidance on when your service is due please check your original paperwork from sale, or alternatively look for labelling on the PAPR unit which should say when the last service was completed, when the next service is due or when the unit was manufactured. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have difficulty checking, we can talk you through where to find this information on a variety of different models. For instance, on Scott Duraflow this can be found on the left filter port, there is a label detailing the serial number and date of manufacture.

Once you have selected your service, complete the transaction on our website as normal. Print off the PDF under ‘downloads’ and complete your details including the reference number which will be in your confirmation email. Package your PAPR unit with the returns form and send to Flameskill Ltd, Flameskill House, Morton Peto Road, Great Yarmouth, NR31 0LT. We only need the unit, you don’t need to send us the belt, battery, charger, filters, hose or hood, unless they are fixed to the unit like the 3M PF-619 which has an integrated battery.
Our normal turn around time is 3-5 working days from receipt of your unit. One of our qualified technicians will complete the service and replace any filter gasket seals.
