Do not use damaged of frayed electrical cords or extension leads

Never use extension cords with heating and air condition equipment

Keep combustibles well clear of fires, heaters and stoves

Never smoke in bed or on soft furnishings

Keep matches and lighters away from children

Teach children the dangers of playing with fire

Purchase smoke alarms and for EVERY floor of your home

Have an emergency escape plan

Close your downstairs doors at night before going to bed
