Size Guide for 3M 6000 Series Full Face Masks

This guide gives some guidance on the fit of the 6000 series masks produced by 3M. They are available in small (6700), medium (6800) and large (6900).

Medium 3M 6800 full face mask is suitable for 80% of the population and is the most popular size of the 6000 full face masks. The dimensions of the mask from top to bottom are 7.5 inches with an opening of 5.5 inches. The width is 5.5inches with an opening of 4.5inches. Fit is slightly narrower than the large, but the majority of customers find this size to be the most suitable and comfortable.

Large 3M 6900 full face mask is the second most popular, with around 15% of users finding this size the most suitable. This mask is distinguished by the dark grey rubber face seal and, when held side by side with the medium, opens slightly wider, but the differences are subtle. From top to bottom the mask measures 7.75inches with a 5.75inch opening. From side to side the mask is 5.5inches in width with a 4.5inch opening.

Small 3M 6700 full face mask is considerably smaller and more suitable for a child, only 5% of users find this size to be appropriate. It is distinguished by its light grey rubber face seal. This small mask is only suitable for small children or individuals with a very small head/face size. From top to bottom the mask is 6.5inches with an opening of 5inches. Width is 5.75inches with a 3.5inch opening.
